“In My Mind is War, the artist re-imagines female testimony as a persona who wanders through a landscape of ghosts from her wartime past. Her wandering finds a home in a corner of the gallery where she speaks her truth amidst intimate items from her bureau strung on laundry lines. When a woman speaks her testimony of violation, while her domestic wardrobe is aired in public, her vulnerability on display can invite the audience to mediate on shame and whether truthtelling is transparent.”
